<x-flowed>In my experimentations with exhaust fumes getting in the car I know for a fact that sealing the bottom of the Squareback hatch significantly, if not all together, stops fumes from getting in IF DUE TO A WORN HATCH SEAL.

...My question is: there's a lot of fumes inside the car but the engine isn't smoking much. Was looking for ideas on what to check...
