On my '71, I turned the key 3 times, and hit the starter. It fired on
the first compression stroke. You can't ask for much more than that. I
didn't hear the regulator sighing. That noise usually means air is going
through it.
How would you like to hear that sound 4000 times a day?? That is about
how many regulators we make a day, and we calibrate them with air
pressure, not fluid pressure.
