<x-flowed>Also for the damper, we need to know if you have an early small OD or later larger OD muffler. If you have the small earlier type then the hardware to install a damper pipe is the same as the heat extractor to muffler kit. The later larger type kit and damper are a bit harder to locate. I think ISPWest may have some or maybe even Bill and Steves.

I seem to remember that the discussion led to the use of t-4 gaskets, that
needed to have the corners rounded. Last year when I did mine (for my Notch), I
used some 1 1/8 ID hard drawn copper tubing (cut to about 3/16ths wide). Russ
Wolfe suggested using thermocouples as they are soft, copper and work great if
you cut the ends to get it to seal when tightened. I hope this helps.
