[T3] AT Tinware & Balance Pipe

My fasty was converted some time ago by a PO from FI to twin carb.  Although
it works OK, the balance pipe looks like a bit of a backyard job.  I was
just curious where the pressure tapping for the AT vacuum signal is taken in
the factory balance pipes and where it penetrates the front tinware?  Is the
front tin on AT and MT cars different?
