The old ones you took out are what they will look like after they have
been compressed for over 40 years.
What you have in the picture is a mixture of oil cooler seals and early
rocker shaft stud seals. The longer black ones will be the oil cooler
seals. Don't try using the shorter ones, or you WILL have a failure.
they are not designed for a pressure seal.
There was only one seal ever used in that style. And it is those longer
black ones.
