but it's big and obnoxious.

I was considering buying some of the cheaper small gauges out there,  
taking them apart, and trying to
combine them into something that would fit in the clock location.
of course that would be a lot of fabricating.

along the custom mods lines, I ran into this clock turned into tach:

which is probably also someone on this list.
it seems like a pretty cool way to get stock looking appearance.
