The part number only signifies which car they were made for originally. They may well have been fitted to Type 2, 3 and 4 as well. I've a project car that had extra lights as part of the order, but I'm pretty sure the NAAFI documentation shows they were dealer fitted - some day I'll find out the quality of the wiring. I think the bulb holder is internally connected, so they've probably blown if there really is power to the switch. Dave.
