I fully realize that this is slightly off-topic, I'm looking for tech
specs from original VW literature for the engine with code "EC" (1.8 l,
Type 4, L-Jetronic, 1974 only),

I can email you back tonight when I'm home with my Without Guesswork. What
other data do they need? Just peak HP? The rest of what you've posted above
looks correct.

Hi Jim,

They need pretty much everything. If you remember a couple weeks ago Russ posted a scan of the German title for his Type 34:

http://classicvw.org/gallery/The-ghia/kscan_0001_001

Some of the data it shows that I need some proof for is...

- Max. engine horsepower rating/RPM level
- Displacement (in cubic centimeters)
- The car's empty weight (kg)
- Maximum allowable weight when fully loaded (kg)
- Maximum wight on front axle (kg)
- Maximum weight on rear axle (kg)
- Wheel base (mm)
- Maximum speed (kph)
- Noise level in idle
- Noise level while driving

My "Without Guess work 71-73" has no noise data, so I doubt the later one has that. It would be great if you had some way to scan the pages with that information and send them to me.
