It's a 1.5" complete header I bought it from S&S Headers...BUT!...since it was designed under the completely wrong assumption that the cooling system isn't necessary for a T3 (I spoke with the <ahem> "engineer", talk about ignorant towards air-cooled VWs...) I had to take it to a muffler shop where I had them extend the lower "J" of the J-tube so the #1 and #3 exhaust would clear the lower cooling tin. Very easy for a muffler shop to do if they have an engine to work with i.e. you'll need to give 'em your car or, like what I did, an engine to model around. I would recommend buying the S&S Header merge/collector as that's a nice piece of work, however, their complete exhaust system leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth because the worthless information the "engineer" thinks he has about air-cooled VWs. My opinion, taken with a nugget of unprocessed sea salt and a dash of jerk seasoning :-\ Oh, just remembered, the muffler is a Dynamax. Works very well, full flow, well made! That part of the install I did myself since I have a MIG welder. > Where,in the Sam Hill, did you get your exhaust? > I'll be damned if I can find a source. > Well, there's "Turbo Thomas" but I think I'm > gonna need both my arms and legs.
