Ouch, I could tell it was going to be nasty by seeing the valves and your
description of the oil/water removal. Yeah its alot of work, but you could
kinda see that when you first brought it home. Pretty rotten but doable if
you have the will and time. The Brits are known for taking on such rotten
messes where the bottom 8" of a car are gone. I have no clue why they even
bother, or anyone for that matter, BUT my hat is definatly off to those who
do! Pure patience and skill, and lots of beer and blood.;) I have noticed
this add on the Samba. Its been refreshed at a better deal. You might want
to have a look before investing more time into what you have and possibly
collect some better examples to make a solid car. The price seems right for
the amout of stuff you get. Keep your chin up David, saving any of these is
good for us all.
