Also, does anyone know the thread pitch for > the VW tool to pull off the fan? Under each side near the air oulets, there is a bolt, and a dowl pin. If needed, try appling a little heat to the area of the dowl pin. Also, do you have the "handle" removed. There is a bolt there that goes allll the way through. As for the fan puller, I just use a standard 2 point gear puller, and a couple long 8mm x 1.25 bolts. I think you can use a couple that come out of the case. One below the flywheel, and one from the center top of the case. -- Russ Wolfe '71 FB AT '66 FB MT '64 T34 (not running) '65 T1 (not running) russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Shameless link for search engines: http://listarchive.type3.org ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
