Just to confirm from this end, most post '68 British Type 3s are double-joint rear axles. I'm not sure I've ever seen a late swing axle here. The special M263 swing axle Variant II wasn't at all common in the UK (just in case he was on-topic and talking about Type 3s for this part) Dave.
