Re: [T3] IRS conversion

Wilson Webb, - those are very very nice photos, thanks
for the knowledge sharing :)
Well things are getting a bit messed up in my head at
the moment. Resto or custom ... mmm, I see what you
mean - Jim Adney, but I have thought this over all day
and night now, and I have come to the conclusion that
if I am going to give this car like 3 years + of my
time, it really has to become the car I always wanted.
I already have a 67 fasty that is stock all the way
through, and actually it ain«t that much fun.
In europe the "rage" at the moment seem to be to
stuff a Porche lump in a volksie along with brakes and
suspension. I am aware that my mind might be affected
by this, and that "rage" usually changes faster than
cars are built..
I always thought VW should have skipped the 411/412
model and put the superb t4 in the t3 instead. I would
like to do this the way vw would. - Like no fancy ally
brackets and AN fittings, just clever engineering
solutions and semi flat black paint.
The original plan was to give the 67 fasty this
treatment and I have stashed nearly all the parts for
the engine conversion, but, then this pigalle car came
in the way and as I said, my mind is a bit messed up
at the moment. Likely I will change opinion several
times more.. Thanks all for the good info on IRS.
/Jon
