Do you just need a type 3 breather box? I have some if you do. Now that I think of it, the biggest problem with using a type 1 breather in a type 3 engine is that the type 3 breather box provides MAJOR support for the fan housing (3 out of 5 bolts, including the one big one) so I'd worry about the fan housing coming loose without it. That's seems to be enough of a problem even with the correct breather stand. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
