Someone on TheSamba forum mentioned just replacing the T3 breather with a T1 one. This gives you an oil cap. > > I think you can make the type 1 dipstick work, but you may have to modify the > dipstick. Oil pressure switch is standard SAE 1/8" pipe. No problem there. As for the flywheel, it is the other way around. You can put a 6V flywheel on a newer crank, but you need to do some machine work to put a 12V flywheel on an early crank. -- Russ Wolfe '71 FB AT '66 FB MT '64 T34 (not running) '65 T1 (not running) russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
