[T3] Fitting a Type 1 case into Type 3

<x-flowed>Hi all,

The engine in my '65 Squareback is starting to get quite tired, so I want to pull that out and rebuild that. I have several spare Beetle engines that I want to make a good one out of and stick back in the Squareback temporarily until the rebuild on the original one is finished.

I will put all of the Type 3 cooling / tinwear on, but I am not sure what I am going to do about the oil filler & dipstick. Will the Type 1 dipstick tube clear the Type 3 fanhousing? I might have to modify a T1 dipstick so I can get it in and out. Can I screw on a Type 1 oil filler to the breather housing and use that to fill the engine?

Luckily this is an early car, so I don't have to worry about the rear engine mounts- is there anything else that I need to consider? (all of my spares are late dual relief cases)

Cheers,
Ben Doughney
