Hi all, I'm back after rather a long holiday, and I have to take my car for its test tomorrow. This evening I just went outside to check everything was OK. I tested all the electrical things and everything worked, until I tried the headlights. I turned them on, and they came on OK, I then switched them to high beam and that worked OK, but then it wouldn't go back to low beam. At the moment the headlights are stuck on high beam. The high beam switch appears not to work at all. It usually flashes the headlights when the ignition is on or off. The switch is practically brand new so I doubt that's the problem. The indicators work. I have checked the fuses and the wiring. The relay is getting 12V all the time at the 30 terminal. The problem is not the relay as I changed it for new one just to see whether that was it. I am stumped and would really like to fix it before tomorrow morning. Could a blown bulb do it? Could it be a grounding problem? If so, why do the headlights come on in high beam only?
