I got the motor to start so I have one plus I supose. The problem is it wont idle. I have to feather the gas to keep it going. The timming is staticly set at 7.5. The valves and points are done. Its getting plenty of spark and gas. Ive even screwed the idle all the way in with no adverse affect. My untested suspicion is that the choke is holding the venturi closed. But I moved it out yesterday with no effect. It might be stuck so Ill check it later today after work. I turn the key and it fires right up with a slightly higher rev then settles down quick and dies with no idle. Like I said if I dont feather it .............it dies. So other than my unchecked suspicions, what else is there? 1500cc motor, single port, side draft.
