Sounds like you've got it nailed. This one has 3 terminals labeled: 31, 49a/S, 
& +49. The wiring diagram is printed on its side and shows the power and ground 
connections to +49 & 31, while terminal 49a/S connects to the dash lamps and to 
the outside lamps via the TS switch.

The date on the instructions is '71, so it's not as old as it might have been.
