I recently picked up a small box of VW parts which contained a NOS turn signal relay that I don't recognize. It is a 6V Hella relay with the part # 111 953 185C. That part # does not appear on my VW type 3 parts lists, but it does show up in an old catalog I have. That catalog shows it as being used in all types from 62-66 (without emergency flasher.) It is a cylindrical metal can, about 3" long by 1.5" dia with a small male threaded stud coming out the top. It has 3 push-on terminals on the bottom. I'll never need it, but I'm guessing that it's a hard part to find if you want one. If this part was never used on type 3s, let me know and I'll offer it on the aircooled newsgroup. It's in the origina Hella box (beat up) with the original Hella instructions in about 6 languages. The flasher itself has one small dent on one side, but I suspect that it still works. The 1/4" tabs show no signs of ever having been connected. Anyone need it?
