Re:[T3] Distributors

Ok i just arrived back from Bug Jam, about 700 miles on the car in 3
days with no mechanical troubles, thats the good part. Flat tire, no
spare, thats the bad part, but it worked out. And another show where
no vendor would sell me a single 5 spoke wheel, so I still have no
spare, but ill find one sooner or later. Anyways, I found a 205G dizzy
which seems to be a 67 one, complete and nice-ish so im going to start
with that one to see if it makes the car run better. I also bought
(didnt bring my list with me so this was a mistake) a 72 auto one,
nicer than the other one, but dont need it, but it was cheap. And a
Bosch br25 i was hoping was compareable to a 010, but it seems its
not, and for 36hp, so ill probably just sell that one. Im going to
start with the G (i have a 67 dual carbs), it seems like it should be
a worker as is. Im going to start without the vacuum and hook it up
and see what diff it makes. I have 4 vacuum cans now, 2 are FI, 2 are
carb, apparently they are diferent (at least by part #'s). As it
seems, this G one would be my best bet, then ill try the 69 one i have
with vacuum disconnected. I have the timing info as per oldvolkshome
and type3 and 4 club's website. While the car did run fine the whole
way there and back, the only way i can get it running acceptable with
the 009 I have on it (and the one on before) was around 35 btdc, other
than that it just stutters on the highway. Hopefully one of these
fixes this and i can run the timing where it should be. Any info about
this appreciated.
