if you cant sorce the early, Jims idea is spot on.

You have the classic change over tin. Thats modified single carb narrow 
engine bay tin modified for the larger engine bay from 64 on. With the 
arrivial of Jacks early 63 notch and the recent clean up of my 62s engine, 
the changes then are cool and many as well. Work in progress for VW I 
supose. Its fun to see these mods first hand with these cars.
