<x-flowed>I may just try that, I kept looking for ways to afford having two cars...
Id do a little searching first... trannies are usually pretty durable and they are plentiful out there in good used form for cheap. They you only need a freindly Type 3 nut who is good enough with tools to change it out for you in a couple hours!
If your in California.... that may be a reality.

I have taken it into the mechanic and was told it was major problem withnoeasy fixes...this is very said for me. 8o(
With my current job demands I can no longer afford to keep this car. I haven't had a chance yet, but I will be listing it on the samba. Is there anyone out there who might be interested in buying a 71 FI sb? It has a brand new windsheild. If so send me an email off list and I can tell you about it and send pictures.
