It's just because the vacuum port in the dual carb system is positioned diffeently, so that it gives out vacuum when the FI dist is expecting less, and vice versa. The '67 dist was a vacuum only dist, so it's needs were different. There's still some advantage to just using the mech adv part of the dist. The dist you have has a nice advance curve. > Yeesh.
