There isn't as obvious an edge for the tailgate. It might be possible
to glue a
bulb seal in the channel I suppose.

What about the Back Door? Will these work there too?
The decklid seal is a different arrangement and it would be difficult
to use the pinch welt bulb seal there. Last time I checked West Coast
Metric still offered a reasonable replacement for the decklid seal on a
Square. It is an extrusion so is a constant section unlike the
original seal and is a little small on the bottom edge of the decklid.
Not a big problem for water intrusion, but can let in fumes. I used a
bit of generic rectangular section foam weather strip (I think it was
3/8" x 1/2") in the channel before gluing in the WCM seal. This moved
the WCM seal outward enough to effect a good seal.
BTW, one of the things that Jim Adney pointed out at Hershey was that
the stock OEM seal had a small indentation in the center bottom to give
you a bit better finger hold when opening the decklid. Those are the
little things you can afford to do when you are tooled for 300,000 plus
a year that you will never find in low volume aftermarket replacements.
