In my opinion chopped cars usually looks strange, those lines are extremely well thought out from the factory and if you move one brick.... As an example: I removed the trim from the sills of my fasty and suddenly the car looked very strange. It seemed that it was riding too high and it looked "skinny". After a while I realized that the chrome trim "moved" the lines lower in my mind - perception. A chopped car looks strange in a similar way as the waistline will be way too tall in comparison with the roof. The car will look fat and clumsy. The only way to get a chopped car to look good is to section (direct translation from swedish) the car. That way you would get balance in the design and the car would look very sleek. But then we are talking pretty far out modifications. (theese are just my opinions - not empirical facts :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
