All the plugs looked normal but had a black sooty coating on them that I don't normally see on this engine. The soot scratched off pretty easily. The plug from #2 didn't look any different than the rest and didn't show any obvious damage. I know it doesn't make sense that it would go overnight but it certainly seems to have done just that. I guess it happened when I started it this morning!?! I don't have a compression tester but I'll check the valve clearances in the morning. I did look inside that valve cover and there was nothing obviously wrong, no debris in there or anything. Andre > > > Check the compression. Chack the valve adjustment.
