Hm -- didn't we see the intake air temp sensor in your intake air distributor? In that case, you'd just need the head temp sensor.

The book Aaron referred me to - <http://www.tiserves.com/VW/downloads/pdf/Glenn-FI-Type3.pdf> on page 10 says there is a temperature sensor in the crankcase and one in the cylinder head... Am I mistaken, or is it just one of those "not in my year" things? The elfrink book I have says the same, but also says "different type sensors are used in the later types".


You said the little sensor to the left of the pressure sensor in this shot is the cold start valve temp sensor... <http://129.24.209.137/fipuzzle/pages/DCP_3277.htm> but I do not know where it goes. And do I have the cold start valve?
