They were already no longer *produced* by Michelin at that time. They only store tires for something like six or eight years, then they throw them out. We've past that time limit, and Michelin has officially trashed any they had left. (...though a listee found a set in a local tire shop a couple of years ago!) I want to move to a modern, available replacement, and will retire my XZX's to the show car.
