[T3] cloth covered fuel hose

What exactly does everyone have against new cloth braided fuel hose? I 
bought some fuel hose from the vw dealer(yes they still make fuel injected 
cars). It fit like a glove(in fact I would probably have to cut it to get it 
off) and I haven't had a problem with it. I just find it hard to believe 
that a company offering a 100,000 mile 10 year warranty on their cars would 
use defective fuel hose. BTW I believe other european car makers still use 
the braided hose too.
