There's no obvious way to tell. The VIN doesn't help, other than to prove that 
it's a 67. You would have to find some paperwork that came with the car that 
showed some history outside the US. In some cases it will be obvious that it's 
not a US car. Side marker lights and single carbs were never supplied into the 
US, I believe. No type 3s were officiallysold here before 66.
