Here you go. Out of the 1961 parts book. My '65 and '69 books are not accessible right now, so I can't see if it's in there: Parts book illustration: http://neil.us/type3/illustration30-large.jpg (for high speed) http://neil.us/type3/illustration30-medium.jpg (for the speed challenged) Parts listing: http://neil.us/type3/863parts.jpg Neil -----Original Message----- From: Everett Barnes [mailto:everettb@thesamba.com] Sent: Wednesday, March 17, 2004 6:55 AM To: type3@vwtype3.org Subject: Re: Lots of T3 Parts! Is it an acual part or just something someone put on there randomly? Anyone else have it in their book? > It's real but it's not in my parts book either. Maybe it's in the early parts book? Mine has a ton of addendums. In my Beetle parts book, it's: 113 863 345 A Retaining ring - Rubber boot (Beetles use the same boot) More info: The boot has no holes or splits to adjust the e-brake cables so there is just a split underneath so you can pull it back to adjust them. The rubber band keeps the boot tight on the e-brake handle under normal circumstances. - Everett ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
