There were never any repops, but the late Ghia bumpers are the same (almost). if there rusted through, junk em, but if they are bent then send them off to a quality bumper reconditioner... they have a machine that straightens them and will rechrome them but make sure thier chrome is quality. Its $$ with the chrome, but unless your lucky in the swaps its your only choice. one thing you CAN do is flip a bumper that is rusty on top upside down... youll have a couple extra holes exposed but put little caps in them and nobody will know :-) Keith Keith Park Top Notch Restorations topnotch@nycap.rr.com 71 Squareback 65 Notchback 65 Squareback 87 Golf 88 Rx7 10th Anniversary ----- Original Message ----- From: "fess" <fess-vwtype3.org@fess.org> To: <type3@vwtype3.org> Sent: Monday, June 28, 2004 2:02 PM Subject: [T3] Bumpers for 71' squareback. > > > So, I have a 71' squareback that I'm slowly trying to get back into > decent shape. > > the bumpers are both bent up, and the front bumper the molding is > falling off > and warped and rusted.
