Re: [T3] dual port engine tin

<x-flowed>

I am picking up a stock dual port/dual carbed Type 3 engine tomorrow in
Toledo.

Good. I'm glad that someone got that engine. It seemed so good that I was
tempted to try to get it myself.

Got the engine home safe and sound. It was pretty much as advertised. Only thing that I have found so far that it is missing is the thermostat, bracket, rods, linkage, and flaps. A little unfortunate given how hard it is to find some of these parts. It has clearly been apart at one time to remove these items. The stock muffler is in really good shape, minus the resonator tailpipe. All of the carb parts and stuff are there. The cooling tin looks to be correct since it fits around the dual port manifolds nicely and it is missing the hole for the cylinder head temperature sender. It is all 12V. (chokes, cut-off jets, generator)

I doubt that the case is original however. It is a "U" case. Aren't these the FI cases?

Either way it will be a good base for me to build another Type 3 motor for Jane or Sophy.

various parts.....don't we all.
