The door window lifter channel is the same as an early Beetle - upright vent
window style certainly, but not sure after '64.  The rubber is also Beetle.
Parts are 111 837 565C (rubber) and 111 837 571B (lift channel).  I'm sure DDB
would have one as you only need a reasonably rust-free door to get it from.

Don't fabricate unless there's no other course - get the right bit as it is a
springy fit and you need the attached channel for the lifter to run in.  take
care not to scratch the glass as you attach the channel.  I had one explode on
me when I removed the channel - lots of small bits of glass all over the garage
floor, where it isn't covered with parts.   Jim knows the sort of thing I mean
as his basement is very similar.  ;-)
