Sorry, but 1mm is not 0.3937". That's a cm (=10mm). 1/2" to 3/4" sounds fine to me. It's just a noticeable movement underneath as the lever moves and tightens the cable - tighten it until you can just feel the operating lever move slightly by hand. That gives the 1mm approx clearance betwen the throw-out bearing and the clutch mechanism. Dave.
