I am trying to find my manuals, but can't find them yet. They go up into the seats to release the seat backs only when the doors are open. They are usually broken by now. I didn't realize that this system was used as late as '67; it was gone in '68--replaced by seat back release knobs on the sides of the seat backs.. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
