Turbocharging a T4 isn't a good idea in any case. The exhaust ports are rather
restrictive (and there's not much that can be done about it) and maintaining a
good seal between the cylinder and head under boost is tricky. I'd stay away
from it. A naturally-aspirated T4 engine in a T3, on the other hand, is a pretty
good way to go if you're not a stock purist...

Those engines showed up in Oldsmobiles, Buicks and some Chevy trucks and vans.
I had one for about a year, so I know a bit about them. GM "dieselized" the Olds
350 V8. They did a great job re-engineering the bottom end -- cranks, rods, blocks.
They did a piss-poor job re-engineering the top end, and they blew head gaskets at
30k miles, almost like clockwork. Those motors make an *excellent* base for a
hi-po gas engine; the crank and block are nearly indestructable.
