Just looking at the Bentley for the '71, and see nothing for the T/S
going thru the headlight switch. About everything for the T/S goes thru
the 4 way switch. 
I have been there, done that. When my T/S gives me problems, it is
usually with the 4 way switch. That or corroded fuses.
