I used the original radio frame. It was already cut-up, so I used a dremel to cut it to match the new metal box that new stereos come with. Then I removed the fresh air hoses and installed the unit. It fit. Then I put back the passenger tubes, they fit. The only tube I could not get back in was the lower driver's side tube. But it not a big issue, because that just prevents air from coming out of the left side dash vent, it still hits the windshield for defrosting. The left air still comes out under the dash, hitting the driver at stomach level. Another benefit, the rear magnet of the stereo gets hot, so the air cools that too.
