Thanks guys. There are uppers and lowers, and earlys and lates. Ls & Rs are identical. I can check the numbers tonight to make sure you have the right ones for your '72. The early/late boundary is something like 65/66, so you need the lates. BTW, unless the boots are torn, I find the OE ball joints to be extremely durable. I've never had to replace one. There are aftermarket ball joints of greatly inferior quality out there, so you don't want to replace good OE ball joints with cheap ones.
