The T-1 has the set screw on the top. The T-3 has the set screw on the bottom. When you are sure that everything is right in the way the shifter works, It wouldn't hurt to redrill the dimple, if possible. When I have had to do this, I usually sacrfice a set screw, and grind the point off to use until I am sure everything is right. I then remove the temperary set screw and without moving anything, I drill the dimple hole. -- Russ Wolfe '71 FB AT '66 FB MT '65 T1 (not running) russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
