At the bottom of the page, there is a * and note that shows which distributors have the retarded #3. This chart is from 1965 and covers up through the 311 905 205 D*/E* distributors. I personally have seen the retard on a Sun distributor machine, and if you set the timing on the car on #1, then move the pick up to #3 you should see the difference. In fact, I will prove this at Hershey.
