I'm not sure where it originates, but IIRC it has a connection to aircooled industrial engines from Brazil. I suspect that the "current" 009 actually predates the 010 and 019 .. which would explain why the 010 and 019 are in the Fisher book and the 009 isn't. The 010/019 seems to be preferred by quite a few of the big-motor crowd over on the cal-look.com forum, and for what it's worth I've seen 010's at swapmeets going for around $100-125.
