Just wanted to let any new or old enthusiasts know of a product that worked extremely well in removing the residual glue used in sealing the rubbers around doors, hatch, trunk, etc.; it is called "Goof Off" and can be purchased at Home Depot [we are in So. California] or most likely any other home improvement store. It does not harm the paint on the vehicle at all. Another product that was recommended to us by an old VW restoration guy was the gasoline used in old Coleman lanterns. Although we did purchase this, before using it we decided to try the "Goof Off" that we had laying around, which worked great.
