Some of you may remember that when I opened up my final drive for the first time several months ago, if was full of red oil, and I thought that the the tranny was leaking into it.

At the time, I drained the oil, refilled it with GL-5 and decided to wait.

Yesterday I opened it up again, to replace the fill plug, which was rounding out. When I opened it up out dribbled clean GL-5 oil, so I can be reasonably sure that there is no leak. I can only assume that the PO filled the final drive with ATF.
