I was totally new to VW's when I bought my square 2 years ago, so I was in no way partial to any particular VW setup. With some reading, observing, testing, and alot of help from the list, my FI automatic is running great. Its true, once its hooked up correctly, it really is very dependable, only requiring periodic maintenance. While reading up on the FI system I came to appreciate how some other basic systems of the car are dependent on the stock FI setup, to upset that would, to me, be CRAZY. => Stock coil better than Blue coil? I don't about Blue coils, but I have the maintenance records for my car going back to 1983, and since then the coil was replaced in 1987 and not since. 16yrs/coil, I'll take that.
