It was just a thin white paper gasket, just like what appeared to be cemented to each face of the phenolic pieces that the FI engines came with. I have them in stock. I think I have the OE style as well as some that are grey and considerably thicker. On the carbed engines, there's a separate phenolic insulator between the manifold and the carb. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
