Re: [T3] gas heaters


Yup, the first 65s came with the ovals and the flattened area behind the top
of the fender where the hoses entered the cab.  Somewhere into 65 VW changed
the stampings so that in the trunk area behind the gas tank on the driver's
side there is a flattened area for the 'leg burner' luggage area heater.
The oval stampings stayed until the new front lip in 1970 but the flattened
area for the leg burner stayed.  Compare driver's side to passenger side and
you'll see what I mean.
