I have a couple of questions about T3 since I'm relatively new to the breed. I have a '71 Fasty that I want to hop up by building a 'stock' high-performance engine (1.25:1 rocker, stock CW forged 8-dowel crank, 8.5:1 CR [stock on 65 1500S], dual carbs, 041 heads, 009 distributor, header, etc.) 1) Are there any performance modifications that can be made to the stock 32PSDIT carburetors? Are the venturis removeable, and if so would this be a wise thing to do for more performance? 2) I remember reading in either Muir's Idiot book, 'How to Hot Rod VW engines', or 'Baja Bugs and Buggies' that there was an adjustable main jet available for the 34-PICT1 Bug carb on high-altitude cars. Does anyone have the part number for this jet, and will it fit the stock 32PSDIT carbs? 3) What was the first year for dual port heads on the T3s? 4) Are '041' heads a genuine VW part with VW part numbers? Does anyone know what the actual part number is? Where do these heads come from, Brazil? Thanks for any help you can give me. This list has some of the most helpful people I've run into in all my years of owning VW (2 Bugs, & 3 Rabbits). __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
